Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada and is American. She has produced more than 20 studio albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk and alternative rock although it has additional influence from hip beat and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed as a feminist icon as well as a Grammy award-winning. Being one of the women's first artists of the 1990s, DiFranco founded her record label. DiFranco was a born on 23rd September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was Italian heritage and her mother was originally from Montreal. Ani Difrasco wrote and recorded the song "32 Flavors". The song debuted on DiFranco's 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. This track appears on the film's soundtrack the Canadian romantic drama Better Than Chocolate from 1999. In 2013, DiFranco apologized after it was revealed that she was hosting a three-day workshop in an old Louisiana plantation for slaves. Many (including us) did not feel moved by her cancellation. DiFranco offered an apology just a few weeks after. Although she's known for her role as Little Peoplesinger, she has worked with many musicians and artists, from Pete Seeger through Chuck D up to Prince. She is from New Orleans.
