Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress, best known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. Then, in 1956 she had her breakthrough in the stage on Broadway with Li'l Abner. That same year, she recorded her first album of songs, called It's Time to Tina. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden in God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film was praised widely as well as Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's pupil. In 1964, she signed to CBS and played Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious characters as contrast to her image of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary however she also established herself as an accomplished television director on numerous series, including Supernatural as well as The 100. She was born in Essex on August 28th 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto at the age of three which is where she spent the rest of in the adolescent years and childhood. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and has lived there from then on.
