Ina Garten is well-known American cookery book author and Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina began writing policy and nuclear energy documents in the White House. Although she found her job interesting initially, she eventually lost her interest in it and bought a tiny specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. After selling the store, she spent more than 18 years building it to an extremely successful business. The cookbooks were followed by many more as well as magazine columns that were added. The Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. Her range of items spans from kitchen equipment to ingredients as well as storage containers. Ina never went to a cookery school nor did she work in a dining establishment. She is entirely self-taught. Ina is known for her relaxed way of making food and hosting.
