Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Because of their fear of stress, the parents did not want to see performing before she reached the age of 18. Perry, who was too shy for acting in school, began to perform in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry managed to get minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, caused her to move to California and she returned to work on stage. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was presented at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry starred in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on the ABC drama The Family. In 2017, she starred in her own recurring part on her own ABC political thriller Scandal which starred her father. The actress also portrayed the young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite having a family connection to the character, she was offered the role via an audition.
